Welcome to Batch. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Batch platform and services (the "Service") operated by Batch ("we", "us", or "our").

By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

Batch provides a staff scheduling and management platform designed for hospitality businesses in the United Kingdom. Our services include:

• Staff shift scheduling and management
• Shift swap request handling
• Time-off request management
• Team communication and announcements
• SMS and email notifications
• Staff availability tracking

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain and promptly update your account information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account

4. Subscription and Payments

Some aspects of the Service are provided on a subscription basis. By subscribing, you agree to:

• Pay all applicable fees as described on our pricing page
• Provide valid payment information
• Authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis

Subscription fees are billed monthly in advance. All fees are quoted in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable.

5. Free Trial

We may offer a free trial period for new users. At the end of the free trial:

• Your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription unless you cancel
• You will be charged the applicable subscription fee
• You can cancel at any time during the trial period without charge

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Infringe on the rights of others
• Transmit harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its systems

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation, you will continue to have access to the Service until the end of your current billing period.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Batch shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
